North Carolina. Incident at Harrellsville.

North Carolina. Union Brigadier-General Innis Newton Palmer left Plymouth in an expedition to capture and destroy and seize Confederate military property and food supplies.

Tennessee. Incidents at Strawberry Plains and the Holston River.

Tennessee. Confederate cavalry, two of them dressed in Union uniforms, arrived at Altamont where they killed a Union captain. They proceeded on to Tracy City, where they overran a Union camp, shot a surrendering officer and then captured and paroled the remainder of his command.

Tennessee. Reconnaissance to Harrison and Ooltewah.
