Kentucky. The Kentucky Senate passed resolutions appealing to the Southern states to stop the rebellion, protesting against coercion by the Federal government, and providing for the legislature to reassemble on 24 April to hear the responses from sister states. The Kentucky Senate also favoured making an application to call a national convention for proposing amendments to the Constitution of the United States. The Kentucky Senate declared it expedient to call a state convention.
